Founder JOan NOvak opened the salon in 2011.
Joan won the prestigious CONTESSA Master Colourist of the Year 2019. She's a renowned hair colourist that has spent many years travelling around the world teaching and mentoring other hair professionals.
Over her 34 year career she previously owned 2 salons in downtown Vancouver prior to opening JoNo Hair.
After moving to Whistler in 2008 opening JoNo Hair was a natural progression to do things her way again!
Her salon vision was to find other like minded hairstylists that want to hone their craft and continually grow artistically and professionally.
Joan is a hair and beauty photographer.

Once the salon of 7 stylists, she has now, after cancer treatments in 2020 downsized and dedicated half of her salon space to her studio photography.
